Payment information and deadlines
The deadline for document turn in is July 1st . **Once admitted to the program payment can be made via Revtrak** Courses to pay for: Sophomores- FALL 2022: GOVT 2305 Sophomores- Spring 2023: Speech 1315(SPCH) Juniors - Fall 2022: History 1301 and Speech 1315 Juniors- Spring 2023: History 1302 (US History in HS) and English 1301Seniors- Fall 2022: English 1302( ENGL 4) and GOVT 2306 Govt 2306 (if going to TX college) and one elective college course Seniors- Spring 2023: Choose two electives from list provided by advisor Courses

Academic Dual Credit
This program is designed to allow students to begin their high education and graduate high school with roughly 24 credit hours, which are all transferable to any public institution in the state of Texas. Students participate their junior year at our campus. Two professors come in Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday to teach their college courses. As a senior the students will travel to the San Jac North campus where they will take two classes each semester. Then return to NSSH for the rest of their day. Fridays- San Jac doesn't typically have class on Friday's. Our Juniors are in their classroom with the academic advisor doing grade checks, any missing or incomplete dual credit assignments or learning about the college admissions process and universities. Seniors are able to freely study at their own accord. They must come on three Fridays through out the semester to do three grade checks during their scheduled class time. Qualifications: Students must pass the TSIA (college entrance placement test) or make a Qualifying score on STAAR EOC to waive TSIA. Sophomore, Junior, or Senior at North Shore Senior High Provide all requirement documents listed above Maintain a "C" or higher in courses Can not have credit recovery courses |

MECA (Modified Early College Academy)
MECA is designed to provide our students with the ability to graduate with their associates degree while they are graduating from high school. Students would attend classes at San Jac every day for the first two classes of the day. Then they would resume a typical high school schedule around 10:30 am. This program will take a dedicated and driven student, they are full time college students and have to have excellent time management skills. Qualifications: Complete Pre-AP Algebra II Pass the TSIA (college entrance placement exam) or make a certain score on STAAR EOC to waive TSIA. Must be entering Junior at North Shore Senior High Maintain a "C" or higher in all courses Can not have credit recovery courses Turn in all complete required documents CTE Dual Credit
The CTE dual Credit program allows students at the beginning of their junior year to enroll in classes at San Jac that will provide credit for a certificate at San Jac and high school credits at North Shore. By the time the student graduates from high school they will be able to sit for the state test in which ever program they are apart of to get their certificate. (Student must be 18 years old to take the test; once student has passed the program and the test they will be certified). CTE Programs offered: HVAC Tech Electrical Cosmetology(Juniors only) Medical Assisting (Juniors only) EMT(Senior and must turn 18 by December of Senior Year) Pipefitting(Senior ONLY) Qualifications: Student must take the TSIA (college entrance placement test) Be a junior at North Shore Senior High Turn in all required documentation Maintain a"C" or higher in courses |
